Rush Hour Squeeze
Holy smokes! We may have to rethink working and commuting in Japan! I thought our office elevators were a tight squeeze. Trust me, I’ve had enough elbows in my eye and been at armpit level, but this is OUT OF CONTROL!!

Slowing The Pace In America’s Oldest City
St. Augustine, FL from Terry Bettendorf on Vimeo.
As told by Terry
Manali, Bailey and I ventured down to St. Augustine, FL with some friends for our annual beach camping excursion. The beach was wonderful, and although we did not make it into the city of St. Augustine on this trip, we have in the past, and [...]
New Study Finds Rice Cereal Is Actually Delicious
Isabelle Brummett’s 1st Birthday from Terry Bettendorf on Vimeo.
A few weeks ago, Manali and I were invited to Isabelle Brummett’s first birthday party. Here is a short version of some of the footage. Isabelle is a little cutie, and if Manali didn’t have baby fever enough as it is, watch out. Thanks for the invite [...]
Bringing Must Have Travel Resources Out Of The Shadows
UPDATED: 5/29/08
It would be great to put together a list of such sites…but for now, I wanted to share two that have come in pretty handy, and seem to provide greater functionality than the more well known sites like Travelocity.
1. Zuji.com: Provides a great feature that lets you specify flexible dates (in monthly increments) for [...]
“Slugging” - A New & Unique Commuting Option That Is More Attractive Than It’s Name
Listening to NPR this morning on my way into work, there was a story on a very interesting form of commute that has developed in the Washington D.C. area, termed Slugging.
From their official website, “It’s unique because people commuting into the city stop to pickup other passengers even though they are total strangers! However, slugging [...]
Manali + Terry Interactive Destination Map
As promised, here is a first draft of our proposed travel destinations. Obviously this will be changing a bit here and there, but always good to start somewhere. The boat icons are ideal ports of call for gaining crew jobs for trans-atlantic crossings and other various cruises. The blue icons represent travel destinations, [...]
Jobs That Will Make Any Land Lover Lose Their Lunch
As told by Terry
I’m no Gilligan, but I’m super excited by the possibility and amazing opportunity to perform a trans-atlantic crossing via boat. I’m thinking initially it could be for our return trip back to the United States. Just a thought. I’m thinking I’ll have to hypnotize my wife in order for her to buy [...]
A Man Of Many Talents, Yet His Most Extraordinary - Pretending To Be A Bush
This is the World Famous Bush Man! I’m thinking of trying this out while traveling abroad, but after watching this video, I’m not sure the getting arrested part is all that attractive. Only in San Francisco!
