“If you are wildlife-watching in the extremes of Alaska and are attacked by a polar bear, are you covered by travel insurance? It depends. You see, if the bear attacks you while you were watching them as a part of a wildlife safari or trekking, then YES we would cover you (assuming the bear didn’t catch you of course), but if you were chasing the bear having had a beer too many the night before and you thought it would be a laugh, er, then NO we wouldn’t.”
Any suggestions or thoughts on travel insurance? We hope we won’t have to ever file a claim, but we definitely want to be covered for medical expenses and personal belongings. Anyone used World Nomads before?

Thanks for the comment on our site and perusing! Your site looks great as well… just a comment I’m not sure the Contact Us is working as when I click on it nothing happens for me. It will be fun to trade tips as well and maybe we’ll meet up in Australia or NZ!
This is very valuable information as I am planning to leave for Alaska in three weeks. It seems like Discovery has been showing nothing BUT bear attack footage and now I am totally confused (run, stand your ground, curl up into the fetal position). What about whales? Am I covered if I fall off the boat and a whale eats me? What about a sea lion? Why am I even going if it’s so dangerous? : )
I cant believe that a number of of the online websites My partner and i have been taken to through stumblupon (basically currently this webpage) I was seeking to pass a couple of obnoxiously boring 60 minutes away, when stumbleupon landed me right here. What a terrific internet site you possess Im so pleased to have found it I have just passed the previous twenty mins running through a number of of your articles, and have also bookmarked some of them. I will certainly be returning to learn a tiny bit more when i have atiny bit more time.
