This coastal town is the surfing mecca for most New Zealanders and offers wild waves year round. We enjoyed the chill atmosphere while taking a break from our road trip, enjoyed some local fish and chips and admired the surfers breaking waves at sunset before we headed to the hustle and bustle of Auckland.
