Our Preliminary Around The World Packing List
We expect this to probably change a little as we get closer to June, but here is our first attempt at our packing list. I can carry about 20lbs and Terry can pack in about 40lbs – it’s going to be tough to narrow down our item list! 1. Backpacks: Manali’s Pack - Gregory Deva 60 Terry’s Pack [...] -
The World Awaits…
We have been reading “The World Awaits” by Paul Otteson, it’s been extremely insprirational and is really getting us excited for our trip! “Travel teaches. It both empowers and chastens as if forces your hand, revealing the lessons of the miles. By hitting the long road through the wide world, you remove the blinders [...] -
Vaccinations
These are the shots we need to get in January… ouch. Hepatitis A – Useful everywhere and good for 10 years. Usually requires 2 shots. Actually, Matt had already been dancing before Stride approached him with a sponsorship deal. They just asked Matt where he wanted to go and paid his travel expenses. Since Matt started dancing three [...] -

Zuji.com: Provides a great feature that lets you specify flexible dates (in monthly increments) for [...] -
Manali + Terry Interactive Destination Map
View Larger Map As promised, here is a first draft of our proposed travel destinations. Obviously this will be changing a bit here and there, but always good to start somewhere. The boat icons are ideal ports of call for gaining crew jobs for trans-atlantic crossings and other various cruises. The blue icons represent travel destinations, [...] -
Jobs That Will Make Any Land Lover Lose Their Lunch
As told by Terry I’m no Gilligan, but I’m super excited by the possibility and amazing opportunity to perform a trans-atlantic crossing via boat. I’m thinking initially it could be for our return trip back to the United States. Just a thought. I’m thinking I’ll have to hypnotize my wife in order for her to buy [...]
